Blog #10

I find this blog site extremely interesting, and unique. I like this blog site because I can easily relate about the post. For instance when you posted about meeting the mentor, I could relate to meeting my own mentor and how lucky I am that I did. I also like how you talk about the different stages of the journey and how important they are for the whole journey. If somebody didn't have an ordinary world then the world they go on the adventure it wouldn't be very interesting because they deal with that stuff everyday. I also really like you making connection to books you have read, I find it easier to make connections to books and my own life. In all I think it is a very well rounded blog site.

Harry Potter - The Mentor
In all of the Harry Potter books, I think the best mentor in the book would be Dumbledore. He teaches Harry magic and other helpful things to fight the dark lord and his evil minions, called Death Eaters. There are other teachers that teach Harry magic but they don't go deeper then the curriculum. Dumbledore also inspires Harry to become a better wizard and become just as good as Dumbledore. He is also memorable because of how he teaches Harry. He doesn't sit down with a book and paper, he actually goes around the world and shows him first hand.

Harry Potter Refusal of Call

In the first Harry Potter book " The Sorcerer's Stone," Harry's aunt and uncle don't want to be mixed into the world of magic, so when Harry is summoned to go the Hogwarts they try and escape by going to an island to hide from the magic. Haggrid, the small giant, stills finds Harry and he takes him shopping for school supplise in Diagon Alley. If Haggrid was not in the book Harry wouldn't have goten to go the Hogwarts and he never would have learned how to cast spells and make potions.

Ordinary World

In the book "Ashes, Ashes," written by Jo Treggiari the main character Lucy has to survive from a deadly virus that wiped out 99% of the entire world's population. What I think Lucy's ordinary world is where she lived before the virus destroyed the world. Before the virus she lived with her mother, father, brother, and sister. They lived a happy life until her whole family died from the plague except for Lucy, hence her nickname Lucky Lucy.
